Did you know that Friday 14 December marks the 100 year anniversary of the first time some women were eligible to vote in a General Election?

Plymouth  are celebrating the day with a 100 metre march, from Plymouth Hoe to Elliott Terrace – the former residence of Nancy Astor, the first female MP to take her seat in Parliament.

We are marching 100 metres, one metre for each year that women have been able to cast a vote.

The march on 14 December starts at 12.30pm and we would love you to join us in person, followed by an open house at Elliott Terrace and the opportunity to meet others celebrating the centenary.

You don’t have to join us physically, if you would like to march at home instead we would love to hear from you.

If you can’t join us for the day we would love you to support the #Vote100 campaign to show your solidarity and recognise the achievements made by those who campaigned for women to have equality.

Pop Up Pilates will be supporting the event – by taking photos at all the classes with the Vote 100 posters.

Please feel free to share, spread the word and hopefully you may  join the march…… ….inspirational women of Plymouth.
